Supporting recovery beyond cancer treatment

Cancer treatment doesn't end when surgery or radiation does. For many people, lingering swelling, discomfort, fatigue, reduced strength and movement restrictions can impact daily life long after treatment.

Without the right support, these symptoms can progress and become harder to manage.

At 3D Physiotherapy Health Group, we provide specialised cancer rehabilitation services to help you regain control of your body, reduce symptoms, rebuild confidence and move forward with confidence.

Our team offers both lymphoedema management and oncology exercise rehabilitation, ensuring you have access to the right support before, during and after cancer treatment.

Cancer recovery & rehabilitation

Lymphoedema & Oncology Rehabilitation

What is lymphoedema?

Lymphoedema is swelling caused by a build-up of lymphatic fluid. It most commonly develops following cancer treatment such as surgery or radiation therapy and can affect the arms, legs, trunk, or head and neck.

Common symptoms include:

Swelling or a feeling of heaviness
Tightness, discomfort or aching
Reduced mobility or stiffness
Changes in skin texture

Early intervention is key. When addressed early, lymphoedema can be effectively managed and progression can be slowed or prevented.

Lymphoedema Services

Delivered by Occupational Therapist Meg Wall, our lymphoedema service provides evidence-based assessment, treatment and education to help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

Meg offers a comprehensive range of evidence-based treatments, including:

Lymphoedema assessment and staging
Compression garment prescription and fitting
Manual lymphatic drainage
Targeted exercise programmes to promote lymphatic flow
Skin care education and infection prevention
Kinesio taping
Intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC) pump prescription
Post-surgical rehabilitation

Our goal is to help you return to daily activities with greater confidence, comfort and independence.

We also treat common post-oncology complications, including:

Cording (Axillary Web Syndrome)
Seroma and fluid management
Post-operative swelling
Movement restriction and functional limitations

Cancer Exercise Physiology

Specialised, supportive care before, during and after cancer treatment.

3D Physiotherapy Health Group is proud to offer a dedicated Cancer Exercise Physiology service for people preparing for, undergoing or recovering from cancer treatment.

Our senior Exercise Physiologist, Kalcey, delivers safe, closely monitored and emotionally supportive exercise programs grounded in the latest oncology evidence.

Research shows structured exercise during and after treatment can reduce cancer‑specific mortality by up to 44%. Clients also experience improved fatigue management, strength, mobility, mental wellbeing and overall quality of life.

We offer:
Prehabilitation to build strength, resilience and functional reserve before surgery, chemotherapy or radiotherapy.

Exercise during treatment with tailored programs supporting fatigue, mobility and mental wellbeing.

Survivorship support to rebuild confidence, physical capacity and long-term health.

Oncology exercise groups suitable for all levels:
• 1:1 Exercise Physiology sessions
• Restorative practices including yoga, Pilates, mindfulness and tai chi for whole-body recovery

A collaborative model
Our Lifestyle Medicine GP provides additional expertise in sleep, nutrition, stress and recovery and we collaborate closely with referrers and oncology providers to ensure safe, integrated care across the cancer pathway.

Our clients value compassionate guidance, expert monitoring, and a space where they feel supported, not defined by their diagnosis.

We help them to maintain strength, reduce treatment side effects and feel more in control of their health.
